ConnectingCare Gateway listed on the NEHTA eHealth register of conformity

HealthConnex' SMD Intermediary, the "ConnectingCare Gateway" (SMD-075) is now listed on the NEHTA eHealth register of conformity.

The ConnectingCare Gateway passed SMD CCA conformity in September 2011, and is the largest operating SMD Intermediary in Australia today transacting over 150,000 SMD transactions each month.

It has now been listed on the register of conformity in response to market demand to use it directly as an SMD intermediary for third party products.

Whilst the intermediary services high volume SMD transactions, it also enables clients to connect to the Argus Network with over 4,000 end-points listed in the National Health Services Directory (NHSD) and over 18,000 health providers. The Argus Network has extended reach to government and non-government organisations (NGOs), GP clinics, specialist practices, allied health and community health organisations.

The Argus secure messaging application is now integrated to over 60 clinical and administrative applications allowing Argus users to send and receive electronic letters, event summaries, discharge summaries, images, reports and referrals, via the ConnectingCare Gateway.
